Han Son dung (Son Doong) (mountain river Cave)
Over the past year, twenty new caves have been opened in Vietnam, including the giant Han Son dung cave, or hang Sondong (the name can be translated as “mountain river Cave”). In fact, the local tribes that live in the jungle have long known about this cave, but they were afraid of it because of the whistling sounds that make the underground river flowing in this cave. The world community only became aware of this natural wonder in 2009, when a group of British researchers from the British Association of cave explorers (BCRA) examined this cave.
