The Amazon River
The Amazon is a great river whose basin covers half of Brazil and covers the territory of neighboring countries. The Amazon proper is a section of the river between the cities of Manaus and Belen. The rivers from whose confluence it was formed originate on the opposite side of the South American continent.
The jungles surrounding the main tributaries of the Amazon are still unexplored and hold many secrets. they are home to thousands of species of birds, fish and mammals that are not yet known to science. Famous animal species found in the Amazon jungle include the Jaguar, tapir, peccary pig, spider monkey, sloth, Armadillo, Caiman, alligator, river Dolphin, boa, and Anaconda. Continue reading
Yellowstone national Park
Yellowstone national Park (Yellowstone national Park or simply Yellowstone, Yellowstone) is the oldest and one of the most famous national parks in the United States.
Yellowstone is located in three States-Wyoming (most of the Park, about 96% of the total area), Idaho and Montana. The area of the reserve is 8,983 km2 (this is more than the States of Delaware or Rhode island); the length of the Park from North to South is 101 kilometers, and from West to East – 87 kilometers. The highest point in Yellowstone is Eagle Peak (3,466 meters above sea level), and the lowest point is the Bank of Reese Creek (1,610 meters). Continue reading
Fjords
Outwardly, the fjords resemble calm blue lakes, but the water in them is salty. In fact, these are long, narrow sea bays that cut deep into the land. On both sides of the fjords are often framed by majestic rocks.
Small and large waterfalls that originate on high-altitude glaciers break down from almost vertical rocky shores.
Although one fjord is often an extension of another and you can sail from fjord to fjord and return to the open sea, on the fjords you will feel as if you were transported to another universe, especially if you came to this region in the winter. Continue reading
