The Cathedral cave
PLACE DESCRIPTION
The Cathedral cave is located on the Coromandel Peninsula, famous for its beautiful beaches and warm climate. It is called a Cathedral because it resembles a Gothic Cathedral in shape. This is one of the few caves in the world where musical performances were held.
The cave, which is 120 meters long and more than 20 meters high, was once used as a concert hall, where the famous Opera singer Kiri Te Kanawa gave her performance. Continue reading
