Tulip fields: catch the moment!
I also visited the Tulip fields today. I went without preparation. I decided that I would take a course for Hillegom, but I would sort it out on the spot. I arrived by bus, walked for almost an hour, and around the trouble-trouble, distress: either the fields have faded, or the tulips are cut, or around the field there is a huge moat with water. As a result, I was ready to admit defeat and headed for the Hillegom railway station. And then…
…I was rewarded for all my suffering today 🙂
Here you can buy a one-day tour to Keukenhof + flower fields, which includes train travel from Amsterdam to Hillegom station and back, bike rental for the day, and entrance to Keukenhof Park. The cost of the package is 53 euros.
Not far from the railway, I found a fabulous field with colorful tulips in full bloom.
The field is not fenced in any way, you can safely go and enjoy!
From time to time, cars stop here, people get out, click a couple of frames and drive on. And again in the field of silence and grace 🙂
I’m not a photographer, I haven’t even started studying yet, so photos are unlikely to convey a hundredth of the emotions that you experience while on the Tulip fields!
When do tulips bloom in Holland
Where can I find Tulip fields in Holland?
Tulip fields in Holland
If you are going to go to a photo booth in Tulip fields in the next few days, I hand over passwords and turnouts. This field is very easily accessible from the Hillegom railway station. Once on the platform, take the stairs above the tracks in the direction of the village (that is, on the side opposite to the direction of travel) and go 200 meters in the direction of Amsterdam.
Get to the railway crossing, turn right – and here it is (hard not to notice)!
