Ice cave under the glacier in Juneau

The ice cave under the glacier in Juneau is considered one of the most mysterious places on Earth, and it is located near the city of Alaska. The most beautiful creation of nature attracts a lot of tourists to its walls every year.
The most famous places are located near the city of Juneau (it was founded during the Gold rush). Alaska itself is beautiful, where else can you see such clean lakes, fjords, rocks, glaciers, waterfalls and forests? All of these corners are worthy of admiration!

Everyone can visit the Ice cave, it is worth taking a camera with you in order to capture the unprecedented beauty for many years. Just keep in mind that the structure of the glacier is considered unstable, and this leads to the fragility of the walls. Be careful!

The 12-kilometer Mendenhall glacier with fantastic caves is also located here. The ice cave is unique in that it changes its internal appearance every year due to the fact that the ice that has melted in it forms springs. In addition, in some places, the walls are destroyed due to the washing out of cracks by meltwater. In a few years, it would seem that a small crack turns into a huge ice gallery. From the city to the glacier can be reached by water boat, route helicopter or on foot (13 kilometers).

Mendenhall glacier itself is only part of the huge Juneau Ice field (more than three dozen glaciers belong to it).
