The Amazon River
The Amazon is a great river whose basin covers half of Brazil and covers the territory of neighboring countries. The Amazon proper is a section of the river between the cities of Manaus and Belen. The rivers from whose confluence it was formed originate on the opposite side of the South American continent.
The jungles surrounding the main tributaries of the Amazon are still unexplored and hold many secrets. they are home to thousands of species of birds, fish and mammals that are not yet known to science.
